Orange County Central Men’s and Central Women’s Jail
The Central Men’s and Central Women’s Jail opened in November of 1968 and are traditional linear style facilities which house both sentenced and pre-trial maximum security inmates. The Central Men’s Jail houses 1428 inmates and Central Women’s Jail houses 386 inmates.
Inmates have access to television, outdoor recreation, local newspapers, mail, commissary purchases (minor grocery store food items and sundries), and special programs. Inmates also receive medical, mental health, and dental care.
Santa Ana City Jail
The Santa Ana City Jail, located in Santa Ana, CA, is a secure facility that houses inmates. The inmates may be awaiting trial or sentencing, or they may be serving a sentence after being convicted of a crime. Jails and Prisons maintain records on inmates, including arrest records, sentencing records, court documents, and other criminal records. Santa Ana City Jail makes these records available to the public.
Theo Lacy Facility
The Theo Lacy Facility is a maximum security jail complex situated on the banks of the Santa Ana River bed in the City of Orange. It is staffed by approximately 450 sworn and professional staff members who are employed in a variety of assignments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of this maximum security jail. The staff is dedicated to providing for the security and welfare of the inmates incarcerated within the facility.
James A. Musick Facility
The James A. Musick facility (aka “The Farm”) is primarily a low-risk, minimum security jail located in a one hundred acre facility near Irvine, CA in Orange County. It houses both male and female inmates with non-violent crimes such as driving under the influence, minor drug possession, burglary, failure to pay child support, and prostitution. Offenders deemed violent are not eligible to stay at this location.
Newport Beach Police Department
The Newport Beach Jail, located inside the Police Department, is a secure facility that houses inmates. The inmates may be awaiting trial or sentencing, or they may be serving a sentence after being convicted of a crime. Jails and Prisons maintain records on inmates, including arrest records, sentencing records, court documents, and other criminal records. Newport Beach Jail makes these records available to the public.
Laguna Beach Police Department
Laguna Beach Jail is a high security police department jail located inside their police department. It houses adult inmates (18+ age) who have been convicted for their crimes which come under California state law.
A large portion of the inmate’s serving time in this jail are condemned for the time of over a year.
Anaheim Police Department
This is the largest city police department in Orange County with nearly 600 employees including 400 sworn personnel. The Anaheim Detention Facility is located in the Anaheim Police Department main station.
The Detention Facility is a Type 1 jail facility and can house approximately 120 pre-trial arrestees for both felony and misdemeanor bookings.
Fullerton Police Department
Individuals arrested by the Fullerton Police Department are typically housed in the Fullerton Police Department Jail while they await transportation to court. In some instances, typically related to jail capacity, inmates will be transferred to the Orange County Jail.
The On-duty Jailer will be able to tell you if the inmate is currently housed at the Fullerton Police Department Jail or if they have been transferred to Orange County Jail.
